Baked + Breaded Cauliflower Wings


Ok so, I haven't eaten meat in over 20 years and for some reason the ONLY thing I ever crave (I've maybe even dreamed about them a time or well many times) is chicken wings. ⁣

Honestly, I think it's the sauce, the experience (messy fingers!) and the memories attached to eating them that I crave. Hot suicide wings anyone?🤪

So when the cauliflower wings craze kicked in I was ALL IN. I LOVE cauliflower wings. ⁣

I've tried SO many recipes, these are by far the easiest and crispiest (in all the right ways) that I've made.⁣

Needed 3 bowls:

1️⃣st bowl - 1.5 cups flour, 3 tbsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp paprika, s+p⁣

2️⃣nd bowl - plant milk⁣

3️⃣rd bowl - breadcrumbs⁣

Start with 1-2 cups of milk and breadcrumbs, you can add more as you go⁣

⁣A baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Parchment works the best!⁣

A head of cauliflower⁣

Method:

-Preheat oven to 450 degrees⁣

⁣-Cut head of cauliflower into florets. Use half or all depending on the size of the cauliflower.⁣

⁣-Line up your bowls. Dip a floret into the flour, then the milk, then the crumbs. Or do a double dip: flour, milk, flour, milk, crumbs.⁣

⁣-Lay the florets on the baking sheet.⁣

⁣-Continue until you've made your desired amount.⁣

⁣-Bake for 15 mins then flip, bake for another 10-15.⁣

⁣-Once the florets are cooled mix your favourite BBQ sauce and some hot sauce and toss your wings in them (the amounts are a judgement call).⁣


Voila some delicious cauliflower wings that get your hands all messy!🙌

PS. These wings reheat really well. You can save some and keep them in the fridge then bake or heat up in some avocado oil later on then toss in the sauce.
