Crock-pot Dark Hot Chocolate☕

Warning - feelings of love, well being and happiness may occur! Gluten-free & Dairy-Free, Creamy & delicious! Sure to be a potluck or large crowed pleaser! In a crock-pot mix together:

1 Container of Cashew Milk (8 cups) 3 Cups of water

¾ cup of dark cocoa ½ cup of cacao 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips 1/2 dark chocolate bar (Camino is great) Set on high for 3 hours - Can make sweeter if you wish by adding sweeter chocolate. Top with your favourite whip (I love coco whip) and marshmallows (dandies are awesome and gelatin free)!

Do you know the difference between Cocoa and Cacao? 🍫 Both come from the same plant, however, have some differences.

Cacao is the purest form of chocolate which is closest to its natural state. It has a high amount of antioxidants, magnesium and iron.

Cocoa is processed with high heat – which is the most common of the two. Because it is processed at a high heat, it loses some of the nutritional benefits that you will find in cacao. However, if you purchase cocoa without added sugars, milk or oil – it will still contain some of the antioxidant properties that you will find in cacao.

Did you know that cacao has Phenylethylamine which is the adrenal-related chemical that our bodies produce when we fall in love! Induces feeling of well being and happiness!
