Oats! They are the best. Delicious and filling, full of fibre and nutrients they make a great breakfast staple! Do you find it hard to prepare nutritious breakfasts in the morning? If so, this is for you. You can just throw all the ingredients in a container, let it sit over night and enjoy it in the morning. This recipe yields 4 breakfasts. If you'd like to be ultra efficient you can separate the oats into small containers so you can literally grab n' go! Oats are primarily starch, however not just your everyday grain type of starch, oats contain a high content of healthy fat. They are comprised of mainly slow digested and resistant starch which means they will keep you full for a long time. Oats are also a great source of protein, so the next time you are wondering what to have for breaky, try some oats!
Ingredients needed: 3 cups of rolled oats 2.5 cups of oat mylk (or other kind)
1/2 cup of maple syrup (less or more depending on preferred sweetness) 1/4 cup of coconut shreds 2 tbsp chia seeds
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
Are you ready for how easy this is? Toss is all together in a container. Mix. Store overnight and EAT! It can't get any easier :) PS. Did you know that the resistant starch in oats feeds your gut bacteria?! Yeah, weird right - your gut bugs need to be fed and oats will not only feed you but also them!
