Food Isn't "Good" Or "Bad" Neither Are You

Food isn't "good" or "bad" and neither are you.⁣⁣

⁣⁣Your moral value isn't related to your food choices.⁣⁣


I am very sorry that we are all so used to hearing how horrible we are as humans if we choose to eat a cookie, and how amazing and healthy we are if we choose a salad or a diet shake. ⁣⁣


It's a systematic issue that profits on our deepest insecurities. Now THAT is wrong. NOT what you are eating.⁣⁣


We need to stop feeling bad about the foods we choose to eat, because it impacts a lot more than our waistlines.⁣⁣


👉It increases our stress levels, which messes with our digestion, and tricks our self worth into thinking it solely relies on the number on the scale.⁣⁣


Now don't get me wrong, FOOD IS POWERFUL, that's the reason I became a Nutritionist in the first place. The funny thing is though, the more I continued to worked with people the more I realized it's our relationship with food that matters most.⁣⁣


This is why our internal narrative around food is so important.⁣⁣

I know introspective work is not nearly as sexy as a magic diet shake that promises the world but hey, it's worth it in the long run, you can't "shed" or "gain" or eat away emotional turmoil.⁣⁣


Pay super close attention to your diaolgue. Question why you feel bad if you eat a cookie. What foods do you fear? Start there.⁣⁣


Understand that there is absolutely nothing wrong with you, ⁣⁣

a b s o l u t e l y nothing, if you choose to eat a cookie, chips, a donut...whatever your fear foods are.⁣⁣


Understand that your value has NOTHING to do with your weight. ⁣⁣


The thing that IS wrong is diet culture.⁣⁣
