Homemade Granola

Skip the overpriced, sugar loaded grocery granola and make your own! It is so simple and will add lots of nutrition to your morning. This granola is full of healthy fats and carbs to keep your blood sugar stable which will give you a healthy start to the morning with zero added sugar, just sweetened naturally. I added ashwaghanda for some added stress relief to the recipe ;) Ashwaghanda is an adaptogen that will help the body deal with everyday stressors.

You need:

4 dates

1/2 cup of almond butter

1 tbsp ashwaghanda (optional)

1 tbsp cinnamon

dash of vanilla

1/2 cup of almonds

1/2 cup of walnuts

1/2 cup of pecans

1/2 cup of pumpkin seeds

2 cups of oats

1/2 cup of plant milk

  1. Soak dates in boiling water for 15 mins.

  2. In a food processor combine pitted dates, almond butter, cacao, ashwaghanda, cinnamon and vanilla. Place mixture in a dish with oats. Get your hands messy and combine! Add in the nuts/seeds and milk.

  3. Place on a non-stick baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove and toss. Bake for another 15 minutes. Once baked, you can add coconut, hemp seeds, cranberries or eat it just like that!

  4. Store in an air tight container and enjoy!
