Vegan Maple Baked Beans

Baked beans are a great way to add some protein to your mornings! These beans are made in the crock pot and taste better the longer they sit. Full of flavour, these beans contain 15g of protein and 19g of fibre per cup.


1 onion diced

2 tsps smoked paprika

2 tsps garlic powder

1 1b. dry navy beans

2 cups veg broth

3/4 cup maple syrup

3 tbsp molasses

2 tbsp soy sauce

1/4 cup tomato paste

3 tbsp apple cider vinegar

2 tbsp crushed mustard seeds (or mustard)


2 bay leaves


Add all ingredients into a crock pot.

Stir, and cook on high for 6-7 hours. Taste your beans after 6 hours and leave to cook until desired tenderness is obtained.
